MyelomaBlogs.org, a blog feed aggregator for patient and caregiver myeloma blogs, has been revamped. It’s all new, thanks to our good friend, Lopo Lencastre de Almeida of iPublicis.

I took this photo someplace between Texas and North Carolina. It was probably closer to NC than Texas.
This was on my return from a trip to California. During the time I was there, I had a nasty cold, so I wasn’t really able to enjoy myself. I was afraid if I rescheduled, I wouldn’t go at all.
Now that I’m back home, I’m feeling much better. I hope to be fully recovered within the next couple of days.

In other news, there’s not much going on. Last week I got to participate in a local radio show with two of Moore County’s finest, Detective Sgt Donnie Shingleton and Sgt Tim Cameron, of the Moore County Sheriff’s Department. The topic was home security, which included discussions about fraud. My part was Internet fraud. My words didn’t really come out right!
I start a creative non-fiction class tomorrow, thanks to my sister, Rachel. She’s encouraged me to git me some more learnin’ so’s I kin write better.
Monica and I are taping for another radio program this morning. I’ll let you know how that one turns out.

With the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan irritating those over thirty—and the boys in long hair and girls wearing blouses without bras irritating people even more—Sam McCain is forced to realize that his old world, along with the entire country’s, is about to end forever.

I have been to one of these, and it was awesome! I hope to be able to make it this time, too, although only if I recover enough from this cold. Get there if you can. There’s nothing like seeing the moon and various planets “up close” from Pilot Mountain.
Ben had an auto accident last night. It’s amazing that he was able to get out of this car. He might make light of it, but it appears to me to have been a pretty serious accident. He’s finally asleep, so we’re sitting here in the dark in case he wakes up and needs anything.
He’s being such a trooper.
Does anyone recognize this spider? It was on my back yard fence last weekend.
Sept. 29, 2009: I found out that this is a Silver-backed Argiope.
Is it even a spider? In the photo (from my phone), I can’t distinguish 8 legs.
One spider I found in my front yard is a black widow, I’m pretty sure. I didn’t handle it. I captured it in a jar and then let it go in some woods.
Cell phone cameras are really handy, but the image quality isn’t so great.
