ATL IMF Patient & Family Seminar

Is anyone going to be at the Atlanta IMF Patient & Family Seminar in March? I’ll be there. I hope to see some of the people I’ve written to on the lists, and to see some of the people I met at the January, 2004 event. Unfortunately, I got sick in January, so I missed the last day! I so hate when that happens. I’m sure I picked up something from the flight to Ft Lauderdale. I ended up being sick for weeks. A bad cold, a GI bug and then another cold. Antibiotics finally got me back on my feet. This time, I’m driving. ATL is only a 6 hour drive, thank goodness. My brother lives in Atlanta, so it will be nice to see him. He’ll have dinner with us one night.

Good Evening, M’Lady Beth! I’m just checking in,hoping that you feel well! Hopefully, the dex will knock the level back, but from what I see on your chart, the rise in IgA could well be just a normal immune response. A rise in the m-spike (or in your rare case, the 2 m-spikes) would be much more significant.
My onc has had me on Thal, just 50mg/day for long term maintenance. I am now celebrating 24 months of CR following my SCT. The most recent skeletal survey (run every 6 months) shows no change from the ones run up to 2 years ago. Good news! So, maybe the year of the GM-CSF injections worked, and now the Thal will keep things in check.
Have fun in Atlanta….I’m sure it will be a great meeting!
    Best regards, as always,
    Bob
