As in many technical areas, there are a lot of myths going around about WiFi security.
One of the common ones is that if you want to protect your WiFi router, you should “hide” your network identifier, also known as SSID. This is easy to do – you just log-in to your router administration panel, and choose the option that stops broadcasting the SSID.
Well it turns out that not only it doesn’t help a bit regarding security, this is not a good practice altogether…
