A opening ceremony at the beginning of the event with the survivor lap immediately following. Luminaria ceremony is at dusk and then the closing ceremony is about 10 pm that night.
Additional Information
A luminaria is a sand-filled bag with a lighted candle which is placed around the track in honor of someone who has or has had cancer or in memory of someone who has died of cancer. They can be purchased before or during the event for $10.00 each.

Hi, Beth: I just looked at your lab numbers for the past two runs…have your docs mentioned the high calcium and phosphorus? Both of those are quite significant (according to the lab manuels that I read)…otherwise, the numbers look very good. You’re obviously a rather healthy person. One of these days, though, we’re going to have to convince you that the SCT is the way to go! (giggle).
But, whatever you are doing seems to be working – dex is probably the single most effective anti MM agent we’ve got. How’s the sugar doing on the dex days?
