These are some of the pictures I’ve taken over the last week on my iPhone. Most of them are stuff from the garden. We planted broccoli, squash, tomatoes, peppers, some herbs and green beans.
The snake pictured is a scarlet king snake. I found it in my pool, but not in time to save it. It’s not as big as it looks in the picture. I estimate it to have been about 8″ long.
The hearse was parked in the bank parking lot.
There are three families of geese in the neighborhood where my aunt lives. Last time I was by there, I got out of the car to take a picture. I didn’t get close though! Geese can be scary!
I can’t wait for the stuff to be ready to pick! I just love freshly picked tomatoes.
Snakes really give me the creeps, so I never touch one. The same goes for lizards.
Ohhh, now I’m craving a Sunday roast with dark green vegetables and a salad – not both at the same time! There’s just something about own grown veg that makes it look so scrumptous even while it’s still growing.
With regard to the snake I half remember a little rhyme from a nature documentary about colours being next to each other – red and yellow kill a fellow, red and black… well don’t! :D
Hi Jo,
I just love my iPhone. I have an old one that doesn’t do video. Does yours?
Send me some pictures to look at!
Hi Beth – love your photos! I take a lot of photos with my IPhone too. It takes pretty good photos for being a phone! I’m a professional photographer ‘wannabe’, but I’ve kind-of figured this out a little late in life. I like your Blog page!
JO
Those snakes look something like the coral snake, which is deadly. I never touch snakes and always snap a photo before I removed them. Sometimes they’re alive!
Ohhhhhhh, the scariest one is that striped thing… is a scarlet King snake dangerous? Usually in the snake world, when it’s got bright “caution or danger” colors, it is not to be messed with. Still it makes a lovely photo, and the others are too!
